1) Start IE 5.0.
2) Type the FTP URL in the Address field as seen below, then type <ENTER>
The format is ftp://userID@cme-church.org/home/userID/
In the example below the userID=collinschapel
3) Next you will be prompted for your ftp password.
4) Next type your ftp password, in the textbox provided. You can have
the password
saved if you check the Save Password check box.
5) Next you will be shown the files currently on the ftp server on your
web site.
You can now treat the ftp window just like any other
Windows folder.
The means you can drop and drap files to the ftp
window to copy them (upload)
to the ftp server to your web site space.
You can also delete files in the ftp window just as you would delete a local file.
6) Below two window are shown:
The top window is the remote ftp window, the bottom
window is the local folder
holding the local copy of the web site files.
In the example below the file collinsout.jpg is being
dragged to the ftp window
to copy it there. Any file the needs updating can
be copied to the ftp window from
any local files in this way.
7) Below the copy is completed.
