Crumbs From The Pastor's Table

All Christians in their spiritual experience belong somewhere between immaturity and matury.  First Corinthians 3:1-3 designates the immature Christian as carnal. The Living Bible paraphrased refers to the carnal as a baby Christian. First Corinthians 2:14-15 refers to the mature Christian as one who "Has the Spirit". If a person is to progress toward maturity, he must be controlled by the Holy Spirit. Some may be immature because they have been a Christian for only a short period of time. However, there are those who have been Christians a long time who are still immature, because they have not yielded their lives to the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 indicates that Christians are to be filled with the Holy Spirit.  It means a continuous action of being filled. It is important to all to desire the Holy Spirit to have full control instead of partial control. The filling can not be a once a month, once a week, once a year matter, but once a day, once a hour, once a minute renewal.  Let us make it real and give the Spirit the opportunity to fill us and use us in every way possible to fulfill his will!
