Statement of Faith

We believe at St. Matthew that all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory, but because of the redemptive power of Jesus, who died and was resurrected, we have new life and hope through the blood of Jesus. Because of His redeeming blood and His grace toward us, we embrace all people as children of God and believe all people can receive salvation from God. We believe as believers, we are called into discipleship to reach out as witnesses to all persons in ev ery aspect of life to bring everyone into the body of Christ. In order to achieve this we must become active servants and witnesses in every physical, social, and economic area of life that prevents people from reaching their full spiritual and physical d evelopment within the Kingdom of God. Thus, through this faith, we seek to fulfill the great commission of Matthew 28:18-20. "Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost; Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:"
